方以智《通雅》"因声求义"的实践

The Practice of Inference Meanings from Sounds in Fang Yi-zhi' s Tong Ya

通过分析方以智"因声求义"的实践,认为方氏不但在"因声求义"的范围上大大超过前代,而 且在方法上亦有所突破。并且由于其对古音学的重视与研究,取得的成果也是显著的。称方氏是清代王氏父 子之前较为科学地运用"因声求义"的第一人当不为过。

This paper analyses the practice of Inference Meanings from Sounds in Fang Yizhi' s Tong ya, and considers Fang Yizhi had enlarged the applicatioan of Inference Meanings from Sounds and made a breakthrough in theory. Owe to paying attention to ancient phonetics, Fang Yizhi had gained rematkable results, could be regarded as the first man in utilizing the theory scientificly before Gao you wangs of Qing (清)dynasty.
