在中国历史上,服饰不仅是生活的必需品,而且是民族文化与民族意识的反映之一。历代典籍有关服饰记载表明,对于统治者来说,服饰上的这种文化与意识的反映又往往与政治相联系,而政治又是统治者意志与意识的反映。因此,服饰的变革便能反映出统治者民族意识,进而能看出这种民族意识所起的作用。

Clothing is not only necessity of life but also one of the reflec ti on of both nation's culture and consciousness in China history. To the rulers, the record on clothing in history documents shows that this reflection is often related to the politics which is also the reflection of the rulers' will and co nsciousness. So the change of clothing can reflect the nation's consciousness of the rulers, all the more, the effect on which is exerted by this consciousness of nation can be found out.
