In this paper, the theory and methods of life cycle assessment and management are provided in detail. Based on the actuality of construction industry, building may be considered as product system, therefore the oriented-lifecycle framework that depicts building community sustainable development is explored, and the responsibility and role of several stakeholders is analyzed meanwhile in this framework. By using these approaches, and extending the responsibility of relevant partners, it can contribute to resource protection and maximizing building performance, therefore it can make the construction industry sustainable development possible.
