天津是我国近代教育的发祥地之一。半个世纪以来,天津教育大体经历了四个不同的发展时期,走过了一条漫长、艰难、曲折的道路,既积累了宝贵的经验,也获得了深刻的教训。这又为天津教育走向更加辉煌的21世纪奠定了坚实的基础。

Tianjin is one of the educational birthplaces in modern history in China. Since over half the century, education in Tianjin went through about four different periods, passed by a long, hard and winding road. Not only the precious experiences were accumulated, but also the profound lessons were gained. This established a solid foundation for Tianjin education to step into the more glorious 21st century.
