科技与道德是支撑人类社会生活的两支重要力量,保持合理的张力是人类生活的必需,也是历史的结论和现实的诉求。合理的张力意指科技与道德之间的动态平衡,使它们的发展保持在合理的界限,促进科技与道德的共同进步、人与社会的全面发展。必须使科技统一于恪守道德底线和追求道德理想,道德谋求科学性、时代性和相对稳定性的整合,最终合流于人的全面发展和社会健康持续这一终极目标。

Science-technology and morality are two important forces embracing human life. To maintain a reasonable tension between them is what human life wants and is also a historical conclusion and practical demand. A reasonable tension means a dynamic balance between science-technology and morality. It will offer feasible room for both in accordance with the demand of the times and society, keep them within a reasonable circumscription, and promote their advancement and the development of human being and society in a free and all-round way. To achieve that goal, science-technology should both adhere to moral base line and pursue moral ideal while morality should seek an integration of rationality, advancement and relative stability, whose ultimate direction is the whole development of human being and the health and persistence of society.
