山西省跨世纪经济社会发展的战略定位是环渤海经济区的重要组成部分。作为环渤海经济区以能源原材料及深加工工业为主的新兴内陆开放省份、华北地区主要经济省份之一和中西部内陆经济示范区,今后山西应积极发挥生产供应功能、内外双向功能和示范带动功能,并进一步发挥自身的战略优势,把握发展机遇,克服制约因素,积极应对挑战。

The trans-century-socioeconomic development of Shanxi Province is oriented as one of the most important components of the Round-Bohai-Sea economic region.As a new open province based on energy, raw materials and complex processing industry, Shanxi Province is one of the main economic provinces in Northern China and economic demonstrating area in the Middle and Western area. By its developing orientation, Shanxi Province will greatly exert such functions as producing and supplying, the two-oriented function of connection the east and the west,and the demonstrating and leading function.Also it should further take its strategic advanages and developing opportunities,and overcome obstacles and limits as well,so as to answer challenges actively.
