On the Formation of the Gan Dialect

方言是语言分化的产物,语言分化的条件主要是移民运动,赣方言是宋代以前几次北方移民迁徙赣地区的产物,赣方言的语音系统在唐五代时期已基本定型。

Dialect is a product of language split. The main condition of language split is the movement immigration.Gan dialect was the product of Northerners' immigration to Gan areas before the Song dynasty. The pronounciation system of Gan dialect was fixed in the period of the fifth generation in the Tang dynasty.
