摘要
以"语言是人类用来表意的工具"为基本指导思想的系统功能语言学对20世纪后半叶的语言学研究有着巨大的影响。通过对该语法派系的重要核心内容元功能理论的阐述,介绍了语言如何通过及物性系统、语气系统和主位系统来实现其经验功能、人际功能和语篇功能,以使语言使用者实现传情达意的交流目的。元功能理论通过打破传统语法机械孤立分析语篇结构的做法,侧重于整体分析意义的如何表达,以及语言的运用,对提高第二语言习得者的语言交际能力具有重要意义。
With the concept 'a language is a tool for human beings to convey meanings' as its fundamental theory, the systematic functional linguistics has gained increasing popularity and influence on linguistics development in the late twentieth century. One kernel idea of the linguistics is the idea of metafunction, i.e., experiential or ideational, interpersonal and textual function,which are realized by transitivity system, mood system and theme system respectively. Unlike traditional grammar, which analyzes languages in isolation, the systemic functional linguistics analyzes languages holistically in terms of language use and meaning conveyance. It has great incomparable impact on the second language education in terms of developing learners' communication competence.
