In this article,the developments in synthesis of tributyl citrate and acetyl tributyl citrate,the two of the most important plasticizers of citrate acid plasticizers,have been discussed.The preparation method of tributyl citrate and acetyl tributyl citrate by solid super acid,rare earth solid acid,heteropoly acid et al.were reviewed.It is pointed out that nontoxic,environment-friendly with high efficiency are the world wide development trent of catalyst.
