Baseline Assessment of OH&S at Datong Coal Gasification Corporation, Shanxi Province

随着国家安全生产工作力度的不断加强 ,加强职业健康安全管理成为许多国有企业的一项重要任务。对此 ,大同市煤气化总公司结合企业清洁生产实践 ,建立职业健康安全咨询委员会。在该委员会协助下 ,通过文件分析、现场观察、与职工交流和对比分析 ,在全公司范围内识别出 2 6项职业健康安全问题 ,并对其中主要问题实施简要评估 ,以此作为该公司建立职业健康安全管理体系和改进职业健康安全管理水平的基准。

With the intensified enforcement of safety production nationwide, it has become one of the major tasks to enhance occupational health and safety (OH&S) in the state-owned enterprises. Datong Coal Gasification Co. (DCGC), for example, establishes the Occupational Health and Safety Consultative Committee (OHSCC) during the on-going cleaner production practice. Under the guidance of OHSCC, 26 OH&S issues are identified by the methods of document analysis, site inspection, consulting with the staff and comparative study with the similar companies at home and abroad. A brief assessment is also carried out of the main OH&S issues out of the 26 issues identified so as to provide a baseline for DCGC to establish an OH&S management system and in turn improve the OH&S management in the company.
