摘要
不同的教学法体现了不同的语言观。语言作为一种功能系统,其语言形式的最基本的功能便是交流的语言观表明,语言的结构必须通过学习才能掌握;而学到的语言最终将用于交流。由此可以看出,语言学习也必然涉及到两个阶段:初级阶段和高级阶段。通过对听说法的分析可以看出,目前还没有任何一种教学法能有效地涵盖这两个阶段。因此,教学中应该考虑到语言功能同语言形式的结合,并吸取某些教学法的长处以取得理想的教学效果。
Language is a functional system in which linguistic form serves as a primarily communicativepurpose. This viewpoint toward the nature of language shows that language as a system with a set ofstructures must be learned and that ultimately, the language learned will be used in real communication.Accordingly, language teaching should be involved in two different stages: the primary stage and the moreadvanced stage. Taking the audio-lingual method as an exmple, the paper argues that no teaching method caneffectively cover the two stages. So, what we should do is try to adopt the merits of some teachingmethods, always taking into consideration the communicative functions of language in relation to linguisticforms.
