被“SARS”耽误了一年之后,第28届世界遗产大会就要在苏州召开了。这是中国第一次承办“世遗”大会,苏州再度成为人们关注的焦点。联合国教科文组织遗产委员会对苏州古典园林的评价是:“苏州古典园林摘取最具多重价值的国际名牌,从而提高本民族、本地区(城市)在世界民族之林中的国际地位”。也许是没有翻译好,读起来很是别扭。还是昆曲的吟唱让我们更习惯:良辰美景奈何天,赏心乐事谁家院。

After a yearlong delay, Suzhou will finally have the chance to host the Twenty-eighth Session of the World Heritage Committee. This is the first time that the meeting will be held in China, and it is a fine opportunity for China to show Suzhou to the world.
