Budai people is a branch of Chinese Zhuang Nationality, which are distributed mainly in Jinlong Town, Longzhou County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. 'Nongqiao' is an important rite of passage that every Budai people must practice. It is not only Budai people's 'adulthood ritual but also a rite that declares the wife 'will live with her husband permanently . The rite possesses great functions of satisfying Budai people's psychological need, controlling the society and strengthening family connections as well.
