摘要
In March to May2003,the Xinjiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Turpan Prefectural Bureau of Cultural Relics excavated 510 tombs in three Yanghai cemeteries at Xiacun Village of Tuyugou Township in Shanshan County,Xinjiang.The plentiful cultural relics unearthed fall into pottery,wooden,bronze,stone,bone,iron,antler,shell,straw—woven and lather objects,as well as woolen.silk and cotton articles.A Preliminary study suggests that the cemeteries date from the first millennium BC.The discovery will play an important role in the establishment of the archaeological culture system in the Turpan area.
