Gynecophoral canal protein shown specific expression in the Gynecophoral canal of male worm and transfer to the female worm.The pairing character of male and female worm was commonly detected after infecting on the 14dyas in the final host.In our research,Southern blotting and Northern blotting were employed to detect the sex-specific and stage-different expression of the SjGCP gene of Schistosoma japonicum.The Southern blotting result shown SjGcp was being in the genome not only of female worm but also of male worm.The Northern blotting results displayed that SjGcp was a male-specific expressing gene,which was detected to be transcripted after infecting of final host when it was just pairing between male and female worm on fourteenth day in the male worm.
