This thesis interprets the classification of the negative-responsive sentences which give the negative answers to the focus or presupposition of the interrogative sentences. According to whether to employ the negative words, the negative-responsive sentences are separated into the dominant with negative words and the recessive without negative words, according to the negative extent, separated into the strong, the weak and the general.
