There were fully reasons to conclude that all life known to exist on earth today was preceded by a simpler life form based primarily on RNA. People became to know this 'RNA world' clearly through more and more catalytic RNA derived from test_tube evolution. At the same time researchers had sought to exploit the inherent properties of RNAs to stimulate the production of therapeutic gene products in a variety of pathological situations.
