All-round Development of Man in the Vision of the Scientific Concept of Development

科学发展观强调以人为本 ,促进经济社会和人的全面发展 ,是贯彻”三个代表”重要思想的集中体现。经济社会发展与人的全面发展互为前提、互为条件 ,经济社会发展以人的全面发展为目的 ,又通过人的全面发展来实现。人的全面发展是一个整体 ,在当前社会发展中 ,必须通过加强社会主义物质文明、政治文明、精神文明和生态文明等多方面的建设 ,全面提高人的素质 ,促进人的全面发展。

The scientific concept of development places emphasis on the all-round development of the economy, society and man, pointing out that development should be people-oriented. This concept gives expression to how the important thought of the ”Three Represents” should be implemented. The economic and social development and the all-round development of man are mutually conditional. The former not only takes the latter as its goal but also strives to attain this goal through the all-round development of man. In the current process of social development, we must promote the all-round development of man by means of strengthening the socialist material civilization building, political civilization building, spiritual civilization building as well as the ecological civilization building.
