Reflections on the Beijing Charter

Revolving around the Beijing Charter, the article proposes some views of the history, present condition and future of architectural development. The Beijing Charter inherits and asks questions of the history of criticism of modern architecture, symbolizing the inevitable trend of history and the necessity of the development of the times. As for the present condition of Chinese architectural industry, the Beijing Charter affords us a century 'guiding map'. In the days to come, we must, by drawing upon theories of integral architecture, pay more attention to solving the following problems:architectural theory, sustainable development and architectural technology.
