深化高等教育改革,是十六大提出的明确要求。高等教育如何适应形势的需要,深化教育改革,关键在于探索符合时代要求的教育理念,理清高等教育改革的办学思路,以正确的理论指导改革实践,全面实现高等教育在科教兴国中的战略地位。

The Sixteenth National Congress of the CPC has put forward a clear and definite demand on deepening the reform of higher education. In order to make the higher education adapt to the development of the situation, and to deepen the reform in education, we must constantly seek after educational principle and policy that can meet the needs of the times, and try to obtain a specific guiding principle for running schools.
