Vocabulary is one of the most important elements of the language. It has close relation with its context and pragmatic. According to the new English curriculum standards, this paper puts forward the new idea of English vocabulary teaching and the activity design on the task-based language teaching according to the new English curriculum standards. The paper also gives some advice on how to present English words.
