This paper describes some-key techniques to design a graphic information system (GIS), taking the information system of post and telecommunications network for an example, including the division and combination of graph and information processing, the construction of the system by using the method of object-orienting, the construction of the processing mechanism, and the design of the data storage forrnat and the input/output system .
