Linking Up to Delta of Changjiang River: Strategic Choice of Span-type Development of Economy of Western Regions

经济高地长三角正在寻求新的增值空间,西部应积极主动对接长三角;西部不具备长三角的地理优势和发展基础,但可以汲取长三角发展的"软件",取其思想、精神、机制及智慧;西部与长三角的互补性很强,已有不同程度的经济合作基础,都有对接兼容的内在要求;西部要努力实现与长三角对接,模式是依托西部自身优势发展特色产业,与长三角实现错位竞争,优势互补,共同发展。

As the economic height - the delta of the Changjiang River is seeking for new space of value-addition, it is mandatory for the western regions to actively link up with the delta. While not having such geographic advantages and developmental basis as the delta of the Changjiang River, the western regions may derive its developmental 'software', thinking, spirit, mechanisms and wisdom. There is a strong mutual complementarity between the delta and western regions and economic cooperation basis at different degrees. In addition, there is an internal requirement for docking and compatibility. The western regions should endeavor to implement the docking with the delta. The mode is to develop their specific industries by relying on the advantages of their own, implement the displacement competition, advantage of mutual complementarity and common development.
