An Analysis of Cheng Duxiu' s Education Thought

陈独秀是中国共产党的创始人之一 ,他不仅是一位政治家、思想家 ,还是一位教育家。不论在他出任北京大学文科学长 ,还是广东省教育委员会委员长期间 ,陈独秀对教育的本质、强调“教育与社会”的密接、教育的发展方向等方面都作了积极的探索 ,对中国教育的理论作出了较大的贡献 ,具有重大的理论和实践意义。

Chen Duxiu,one of the founders of Chinese Communist Party,is a statesman,thinker as well as an educator.No matter when he was head of arts in Beijing University or worked as the chief commissioner in Guangdong Education Committee,Chen Duxiu had made positive researches into the essence of education,the emphasis of the intimacy in 'education and society' as well as the development direction of education,which did a great contribution to the theory of Chinese education.
