Ma Χiangbo's Thought and Practice in Saving the Country by Education

马相伯是近代中国著名的教育家和爱国民主人士,先后创办了震旦学院和复旦公学。其教育目的是为了救国,教育内容注重科学,教育方法重在培养学生的自由研究、演讲等能力。这些思想对今天的教育事业仍有借鉴意义。

Ma Xiangbo was a famous educator and patriotic and democratic personage, who set up Zhen dan College and Fudan Public School. His teaching purpose is to save the country. His teaching lays an emphasis on science and his teaching methods aim at developing students'ability of doing independent research and delivering speeches .All these are still enlightening to today's educational cause.
