“战略机遇期”刍议

On Studies of the Period of Strategic Opportunity

十六大报告中提出"战略机遇期"的命题包含了三大内涵,即中国具有大国理念、大国目标以及对中国所处战略环境有总体乐观的积极判断。"战略机遇期"的判断是主观与客观的统一。抓住"战略机遇期",就要解决好保障可持续发展、经济发展与政治文化同步发展、经济发展与国防建设的比例关系、台湾问题等以及促进世界和平、繁荣与进步。

The period of strategic opportunity proposed in the report of the 16th Congress of Party involves three connotations : China has the power idea, the power objective as well as the optimistic and positive (judgement) on the strategic environment China is facing .In order to seize the period of strategic opportunity, the following issues must be effectively resolved: to ensure the sustainable development, to bring about the (simultaneous) development of both economy and politics and culture, to realize the proportional relation (between) the economic development and the construction of national defense and to resolve the issue of Taiwan for promoting the world peace,prosperity and development.
