陆地棉种子活力与棉苗素质的关系研究

Association Between Seed Vigor and Seedling Quality.

本文对10个陆地棉品种(系)种子活力、棉苗素质及其相关性进行了研究。结果表明,棉花种子活力因品种而异。种子活力愈高的种子,棉苗素质愈好,两者呈显著或极显著正相关。种子活力较发芽率与棉苗素质有更密切的关系,无论棉花育种或大田栽培,重视对棉子活力的选择与培育,有助于培育壮苗,对促进棉花产量和质量的进一步提高有重要意义。

Seed vigor seedling quality and their correlation were studied with 10 cotton(G. hirsutum L. )varieties (lines). Results indicated that cotton seed vigor and seedling quality varied with varieties,and seed vigor had great influence upon cotton seedling quality,the higher seed vigor the better seedling quality. Correlation analysis showed that both vigor indices and germination percentage were positively correlated to seedling quality,but vigor indices were closer correlated than germination parcentage. Therefore,the selection and cultivation of cotton seed vigor should be respected, in cotton field production and breeding of new varieties. In addition,the implication of above results in cotton cultivation and breeding with high yield and good quality was also discussed.
