《玻璃动物园》中的主要人物以不同的方式让时间停顿下来了,他们在一个无时间世界里,保持着属于他们自己的生活状态。但他们在进入无时间世界的同时,也遭遇了来自现实世界和精神领域的难题。他们对无时间世界的向往,实际上是对一种精神自由的向往;他们遭遇的难题,是人类追求精神自由过程中的普遍难题。

The major characters in Glass Menagerie make the time stop in different ways. They maintain their own way of living in the world without caring about the passage of time. However, they encounter some spiritual problems from the real world. Their dream of the timeless world is actually the desire for the spiritual freedom. And their problems are, in fact, universal in the process of human pursuit of the spiritual freedom.
