肾与“水”相关之探析

Research on the relationship between kidney and "water

肾与水密切相关,其水有为精者,有为津液者,故名“内藏之水”与“输泻之水”。“内藏之水”以藏为主亦藏中有泻,此水藏于内则为肾之体;泻于外,则为脏腑之本。“输泻之水”必须及时输布与排泄,但亦泻中有藏,如聚于脏腑之中,则可濡养润泽脏腑诸窍等,两者内外相联,其气相通,体用相合,体现在肾之生理病理等诸多方面,所以古人概称为“水”。

What we called 'storing water and transporting water' for kidney is closely related with essence and body fluid kept inside kidney. 'Storing water' mainly meant kidney essence and stored inside kidney called 'Constitution of Kidney'. Its implying of moving water outside of kidney essence called 'The root of Zang-Fu organs'. 'Transporting water' indicated transportation and excretion of water involved also in 'storing'. Moistening and nourishing Zang-Fu organs will be occurred whenever the 'water' concentrated in the viscera. 'Storing water' as constitution and 'transporting water' as function can be manifested in different physiological and pathogenic aspects, that is the reason why kidney essence and body fluid is considered as 'water' by ancient doctors.
