Psychological counseling is an important component of the mental health education in universities. It has already become a way to know the mental state of students. An analysis of some issues related to psychological counseling indicates that it is vital and worthwhile to understand the characteristics of students' mental problems, analyze the reasons why the students' mental problems come into being, and explore the approaches to mental health education.
