摘要 如何改进高校英语教学一直是人们关注的话题。文章语言与文化的关系以及跨文化交际能力的培养角度出发,论述了文化背景知识的输入对高校英语教学的巨大积极作用,提出在高校英语教学中进行文化背景知识输入的一些原则和途径。 Many people in our country are always concerned about how to improve the learning and teaching of English in universities and colleges. This article deals with the great positive impact of infusing the knowledge of cultural background on the learning and teaching of English in universities and colleges in terms of the relationship between language and culture and the cultivation of intercultural communication competence. Furthermore, it puts forward several principles and ways of infusing the knowledge of cultural background in college English teaching.
