Plot plays a vital part in narration in the Tale of the Water Margin, which has its historic origin. Critics before did some research on the combination of plots, but most were restricted in style. From the point of view of narration, the combination has also the significance of functioning. This article analyses the rules as well as the functions of plots in other respects.
