Lingnan Prescriptions is a medical classic dealing with the epidemic mountainous evil air in the Lingnan area. It is pointed out in the book that the hot and damp climate in the local area causes deficiency of yang qi, upper heat and lower cold and hyperactivity of yin and dampness in the body. The book also deals with the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of miasma and presents the therapeutic methods of warming the middle and consolidating the lower part, using fragrant drugs to remove dampness and reinforcing anti-pathogenic factors, which laid a solid foundations for the medical researches in the Lingnan area.
