在赋学研究领域中 ,科技赋以独特的创作内涵 ,使文学与科技融为一体。这里通过对科技赋创作历程的考察 ,认为科技赋创作孕育于两汉 ,完成于魏晋 ,兴盛于唐宋之世 ,其创作与科技史的发展及成就相对应 ,主要体现在天文、地理、医药、机械与生物学诸方面 ,指出科技赋创作蕴涵着中国古代的道伎传统、神学与科学杂糅的文化精神 ,体现了盛世作赋的文学致用特征。

Odes to Science (ke ji fu) distinguishes itself for its own special artistic connotations from others in the field of fu (odes) studies, for literature and science are blended perfectly in this type of writing. A study of its history shows that it emerged in the East and West Han dynasties as a literary genre, witnessed rapid development in the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and came into its prime days during the Tang and Song Dynasties. Its writing history corresponds to the Chinese history of scientific development, especially to the development of astrology, geography, medical science, mechanics and biology. It is concluded that the writing of Odes to Science embodies ancient Chinese Taoist tradition, the cultural spirit of combining theology and science, and artistic utilitarianism in literary creation.
