Water turbine technique reform is a kind of very significant work for the development of hydropower industry in China. Methods of water turbine efficiency heightening technique reform based on runner type change are introduced. Through comparison between the performances of two types of runner, JF2558 and HL702, it is found that substitution of Runner JF2558 for Runner HL702 is the best option of water turbine efficiency heightening technique in the station.
