翻译教学应重视学生语言运用能力的提高

Priority Should Be Given to Raising Students' Language Proficiency in Translation Teaching

本科阶段的翻译教学中,应始终重视学生语言运用能力的培养。英汉语言运用能力是进一步学习翻译理论和技巧的基础。文章以一次成功的翻译教学实践为例说明重视英汉语言对比,提高学生语言运用能力是提高学生翻译实践能力的有效途径。

In this paper the author vindicates, through a successful translation lecture, that priority should be given to raising students' proficiency in both the source and target languages in translstion teaching. The author also suggests that an effective way to improve language proficiency is to make a comparative study of the English and Chinese languages.
