摘要
文化差异现象在词汇和文化背景方面的普遍存在,使得阅读教学中存在不少的“短路”问题。因而文化背景知识是学习英语必不可少的因素。教师应当在阅读教学中有意识地进行文化背景知识的讲解并引导学生主动学习,在阅读时要引导学生透过语言表层去理解文化意蕴,并通过有组织的讨论使得所学的知识得到运用从而加强学习效果。
The universal existence of cultural differences in vocabulary and cultural background leads to short- circuits in English reading class.Thus cultural background knowledge is an essential element in English learning.Teachers should consciously give explanations of cultural backgrounds to students and lead them to learn actively.In English reading class, teachers should help them understand the cultural connotations beneath the superficial language.What's more,certain classroom activities should be organized in order to help students put into use what they learn from reading, and hence the learning will have a better effect.
