论 述 了我 国 数字 图书 馆 建设 的必 要 性，认 为建 设 数字 图书 馆 是加 快社 会 信息 化步伐 的 需要 ，是 弘扬 中华 文 化的 需要 ，是 提高 国 民素 质的 需 要，是 我 国图 书馆 事 业发 展的需 要 。指 出我 国 数字 图书 馆 建设 的主 要 任务 包括 数 字资 源建 设 、系统 开 发、标 准规 范的制 定 和人 才培 养 等方 面。

This paper discusses on the necessity of the construction ofour country's digital library,holding thatthe construction of digital library is the requirem ent of quickening the steps of social inform atization,is the requirem ent of carrying forw ard Chinese culture,is the requirem ent of increasing the national quality,and also is the requirem ent of developing our country's library cause,and points out that the m ain tasks ofthe construction ofour country's digital li- brary include the construction ofthe digitalresources,the developm entofthe system ,the working outofthe standards and norm s,and the training ofthe talents,etc.
