现代派小说中的读者建构作用

The Constructing Function of Readers in Novels of Modernism

20世纪60年代读者反应批评应运而生,20世纪80年代,中国文坛出现了一种全新面貌的小说——现代派小说。该派小说相对传统小说而言,表现出人物形象塑造非个性化、故事情节平坦化、叙事的非逻辑性、叙事视角限制式这四个特点。运用读者反应批评理论,从这四个方面入手进行分析,我们得知现代派小说的阅读将离不开读者的创造、重构。

1960s witnessed the appearance of the reader - response criticism. In the 1980s, a completely new style of literary form, novel of modemism came into being in the Chinese literary world. Compared with those traditional novels, the novels of modernism demonstrate four unique characteristics: lack of personality on the part of the characters, illogical narration, flat plot, restricted perspective on the part of the narrator. This paper attempts to apply the reader - response criticism to illustrate that readers are to recreate and reconstruct the text when they read the novels of modernism from the above four - mentioned characteristics .
