Reed-Solomon(RS)code is a kind of important error-correcting code, and it is capable of correcting stochastic and gusty errors, so it is widely used in DVB systems and other fields of digital communication. This paper presents the implementation of RS encoder in DVB-C systems using FPGA device, analyses the principle and operating process, and finally offers the waveform of the simulation.
