箜篌是一种古老的乐器,从制作至今已有3-4千年的历史。箜篌由非洲传向亚洲,横跨两大洲,被东方各国继承、发展。箜篌在由非洲向东方各国传播过程中,被加以改造,长期活跃在历史舞台上,现已被竖琴所替代。

Ghongqa (zither) is a musical instrument that has a long history, handed down from ancient times. Ghongqa (zither) was first invented by Africans three or four thousand years ago, and then propagated to Asia. Ghongqa got inherited and developed in eastern countries. In the course of the propagation the eatern people made a few more changes and improvement on it. Today this musical instrument still flourishes in the historical arena, but has already given way to harp.
