摘要
报道了三乙氧基胆甾醇(Triethoxycholesterol,以下简称TC)的合成方法、提纯过程,及用偏光显微镜、差示扫描量热(DSC)对TC相转变的研究。结果表明,加热固 态TC至清亮,其中存在两个近晶型液晶相,在TC的冷却过程中,存在一个胆甾型 液晶相。TC在过量水中还可形成层状溶致液晶。所以,TC既具有热致液晶的特性, 又具有溶致液晶的特性。
The synthesis and purification of triethoxycholesterol (TC) and the study of its phase transition by polarizing microscope and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) are presented. It is found that there are two smectic phases when TC is heated from 0℃ to 115℃, and there is a cholesteric phase on cooling. Both types of mesophase. are discussed. Lamellar phase is observed by adding excessive water into TC. It is shown that TC has the characteristic of thermotropic and lyotropic liquid crystals.
