On Deng Xiaoping’s Thought of Independence and Opening the Door

新时期以来,邓小平依据马克思主义的基本原理,着眼当代中国和世界的新实践、新发展,对独立自主、自力更生和对外开放问题以及二者的辩证统一关系作了大量的论述,为我国在坚持独立自主、自力更生的基础上实行对外开放,加速社会主义现代化建设提供了理论指南。

Ever since the new era, Deng Xiaoping had made a considerable amount of enumeration with regard to independence & self-reliance and opening the door as well as the interrelationship between the two in accordance with fundamental Marxist principles and from the perspective of the new practice and development of China and the world. All his contributions have been providing theoretical guidelines for socialist modernization construction in exercising open-the-door policy on the basis of adhering to independence and self-reliance.
