中国共产党在将马克思主义民主理论与中国具体的政治建设实践相结合的过程中 ,逐渐搞清楚了“什么是社会主义政治文明、怎样建设社会主义政治文明”这个问题 ,并总结了许多有益的经验。这些经验有 :必须把坚持党的领导、人民当家作主和依法治国统一起来 ,必须把民主政治建设与政治文明建设结合起来 ,必须把政治文明建设与物质文明建设、精神文明建设统一起来 ,必须把坚持基本政治制度与改革政治体制统一起来 ,必须把间接民主形式与直接民主形式统一起来 ,必须把立足国情与吸收。
