This paper presents an analysis of the description in Canon of Medicine of the passages and the transporting modes of food essence and fluid in the body. The authors point out that the passages include meridians, the triple energizer and the biliary tract, and the transporting mode include 'from the center to the peripheral' and 'from the lung'. A discussion is also presented on the difference between blood vessels, meridians and muscles, and the difference between the six-fu triple energizer, the location triple energizer and the triple energizer based on syndrome differentiation.
