Notes to Some Words in Thai Borrowed from Chaozhou Dialect

潮州人移居泰国 ,促使彼此语言与文化相互影响。泰语从潮州话借入许多词语 ,这些借词绝大多数仍在使用 ,少部分因社会环境改变而消失 。

When Chaozhou people emigrated to Thailand,they also brought their dialect there and influenced Thai language and culture.In Thai,many words have been borrowed from chaozhou dialect,and for some different reasons,the original meanings of some borrowed words have been changed.The author gives an brief analysis to the phenomenon of transferred words.
