摘要
鸦片战争以后,随着中国沿海、沿江和内地的一些城市先后被辟为通商口岸,刺激了国内外贸易的发展和城市近代化的步伐.虽然城市近代化发展水平高低不同,但中国近代城市崛起的模式大体相同,都是经历了一个因商而兴、由工而盛、工商相互促进的发展过程.
After the Opium War, seaside and inland cities becoming commerce ports pushed forward the development of international and domestic trade and the modernization of China cities. The city evolution experiences similar modes though they were different in standards: rise because of commerce, prosperous of industry, and mutual dependent on commerce and industry.
