摘要
在与1997/1998年强ENSO过程比较的基础上,揭示了2002/2003年ENSO暖事件爆发晚、结束快及西强东弱等关键性特点,并进一步分析了该暖事件爆发过程中热带海温背景所起的重要作用。
Compared with1997/1998 strong ENSO event, this paper revealed some characteristics of 2002/2003 Elnino episode, such as late onset sudden retreat,and having intenseness in west and weakness in east. Furthermore, the important roles of tropical SSTs' background in occurrence processs of Elnino episode were discussed.
