China-Asean Free Trade Zone: Objectives and Reality

通过分析自由贸易区的含义和中国—东盟自由贸易区的特点,借鉴欧盟和北美自由贸易区建立与发展过程的特殊性,指出中国—东盟自由贸易区面临的困难,提出发展和建立中国—东盟自由贸易区的思路,并对中国—东盟贸易区的建立持谨慎乐观的态度。

This paper discusses the nature of a free trade zone and probes into the characteristics of China-Asean Free Trade Zone. With reference to the distinctive characters in the development process of the European Union and the North American free trade zones, this paper further examines the difficulties that face the China-Asean Free Trade Zone and proposes strategies to be adopted in the process of its development.
