On the Source of O'Neill's Tragedies

通过对美国现代著名剧作家尤金·奥尼尔不同时期的主要作品深入分析后 ,作者认为 ,希腊古典悲剧的传统、叔本华悲观主义的哲学宗旨。

In this article, the author deeply analyzed several famous works of the U.S. playwright Eugene O'Neill to find out O'Neill's source of tragedies. It is argued in this article that the tradition of Greek tragedies, Nietzsche's values upon moral and life and Freud's psychoanalysis are main source of his tragedies.
